With over 19 years of experience in the fields of social service and education, Casswell has provided instruction and coaching to over 5000 individuals on the East coast, Midwest and Western United States. His experience and collaborations within the state of California have included but are not limited to The Department of Children and Family Services, Department of Probation, The Foundation for California Community Colleges, The California Conservation Corps, Department of Juvenile Justice, LAUSD, PUSD, GUSD, CASA, Guardian Scholars, Ombudsmen, WIOA, WIB, EDD, and many other associations that provide services to at risk foster, homeless and formerly incarcerated young adults. Before pursuing a career in Professional Development, Casswell was a Division 1 Football Player at the University of Louisville Ky. where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a Minor in Education. In preparation for an NFL combine following his graduation from the University of Louisville, Casswell suffered a terrible knee injury that would alter the trajectory of his career. He went on to teach and join the administrative teams within middle and high school systems which were followed by several years of employment as a contracted Protective Investigator and Case Manager with The Department of Children and Family Services. He later received a Masters Degree in Humanities and Social Sciences with a concentration in Conflict Analysis and Resolution. A bi-coastal relocation would allow Casswell to incorporate his vast experiences by providing Life Skills, Character Development and Job Readiness through the Foundation for California Community Colleges. He would eventually go on to become the Workforce Development Specialist for one of the leading foster care agencies in Southern California where he created a job placement, occupational preparation and internship system in which 86% of his clients would gain quality skills resulting in part or full time employment. He established professional relationships that eventually allowed for the creation of Exceptional Quality Professional Development LLC. He continues to provide dynamic instruction, training and facilitation through the use of engaging tactics that truly inspire individuals to prepare for employment as though their lives depended on it. Casswell is currently serving as a FUSE Executive Fellow with a specific focus on creating an integrated approach to service delivery between Government and the private sector within Los Angeles County (Project details can be found here: https://fusecorps.org/fellows/casswell-goodman/ ). Casswell is a proud member of the National Mentoring Partnership, Cal-Tech Toastmasters Team and the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals. He is constantly driven by empowering individuals to face and overcome obstacles or barriers to employment while helping them find their purpose through meaningful careers.
